Data Deletion Instructions
Buddy by OakOliver, operated by Oak Oliver LLC, respects privacy and data protection rights under applicable law, including the GDPR/RGPD where applicable. If you used Buddy by OakOliver through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google, or another connected service and want your personal data deleted, you can request deletion using the steps below.
How to request deletion
- Email antonio@oakoliver.com with the subject line Buddy by OakOliver data deletion request.
- Include the channel you used, such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail, or the Buddy by OakOliver admin application.
- Include enough information for us to identify the record, such as your Instagram username, Facebook profile/page interaction, email address, phone number, or message timestamp. Do not send passwords, tokens, or other secrets.
- We may ask for additional information if needed to verify that the request relates to your data.
What we delete
When a valid deletion request is confirmed, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your interaction where legally and technically possible. This may include contact details, message content, conversation records, CRM-linked lead data, workflow logs, and connector metadata.
Retention exceptions
Some records may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, security, abuse prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, audit logs, or to protect the rights and safety of users and third parties. Where full deletion is not possible, data will be restricted or minimized where appropriate.
Response timing
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests promptly and complete valid requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. For GDPR/RGPD requests, this is generally within one month, unless the request is complex or additional verification is required.
